Wealth, in today’s world, is about the amount of money you have – your net worth.
While I don’t disagree with that statement, wealth is and can be so much more.
Wealth is also a life-long accumulation of knowledge and expertise in an area (or many areas) of interest. Wealth is found in the quality of healthy relationships we have with family, friends and colleagues. Wealth is also found in the richness and depth of your culture and community.
I consider myself to be wealthy in so many areas of my life – including my bank account. It’s because of the incredible blessings I have received in my time on Turtle Island that my family is housed, we have clothing, we eat healthy food, drink clean water and live a good life. I do not need to worry about my future; I can continue on the path Creator has set for me. For this, I am humbled and grateful.
Continuing on the path before me, I know I have a responsibility to helps others. I decided to make this website/blog as part of that responsibility and duty. Due to the legacy of intergenerational traumas, many families haven’t acquired the knowledge or skills necessary for a good life to pass on to the next generation. Some don’t feel safe to ask questions of their relatives. Who can they turn to?
Aunties are, and have always been a resource that others can come to when help or advice is needed. I have been that Auntie – and I can be your Auntie too!
If you have questions about personal finance, or money in general, send me an email.
Every #WealthyCuzzin who signs up for my newsletter (it’s free to subscribe) will receive a free download of the Emergency Fund Worksheet for free.
Thanks for joining me on this part of my journey. I look forward to some great conversations and big Auntie laughs!
Much love,
